Wellcome Kids Day Care

A safe, caring environment for our youngest residents.

At Wellcome Manor, we have an on-site licensed daycare for children up to age five or who haven't started kindergarten. We offer parenting education and family development during a client’s stay.

With 40 hours a week of treatment available to Wellcome Manor Family Services’ clients, one may wonder what happens with their children during this time.

Just as if the moms were at home, they are expected to wake their children up for the day, get them dressed, feed them breakfast, and get them off to daycare.  Wellcome Kids is a Rule 3 licensed daycare center located within Wellcome Manor Family Services, and currently serves the following ages:

Infants

Ages 6 Weeks to 16 Months

Toddlers

Ages 16 Months to 33 Months

Preschoolers

Ages 33 Months through Kindergarten

Wellcome Kids uses an evidence-based resource, The Creative Curriculum, from Technology Strategies, as the basis for its program.  These resources help teachers to be their most effective, while still honoring their own creativity and role in making learning exciting and fun for every child.

Each day, mothers receive a daily report for their child.  The report covers their mood/behavior, what they had for lunch and snacks, and diaper changes.  Mothers of infants also receive nap information and bottle feeding, which tells the moms everything they need to know about their child’s day.

The daycare center is available to clients and their children from 8:20am – 3:40pm (which is the clients’ programming hours) Monday through Friday.

Just like all licensed daycare centers in Minnesota, each classroom has a Lead Teacher, qualified under Rule 3, along with an Assistant Teacher or Classroom Aide.  Children are never left alone and are always under the best care possible.
